The newly established Chamber of Tax Advisors (KPS) should be in the function of improving overall business processes and in the interest of citizens and the economy, announced the Ministry of Finance.
The Minister of Finance, Aleksandar Damjanović, called today the constitutive session of the KPS, where the decision on its establishment, the Statute and the rules of procedure were unanimously adopted.
“Thus, for the first time, a professional body was introduced into the Montenegrin system with broad powers regarding the creation and direction of tax policy, both from the aspect of strengthening efficiency in daily actions, and in the domain of an advisory or educational role,” the announcement states.
Congratulating the members of the Chamber on its establishment, Damjanović said that he was satisfied that, after many years of preparations that began with the adoption of the Law on Tax Advisors 16 years ago and the licensing of professionals in the field of tax policy, a body was formed whose work will be focused on strengthening perhaps the most important aspect in in the field of economic policy, which refers precisely to the establishment of a competitive, stable and sustainable tax system.
Damjanović said that he believes that tax advisors will act in accordance with the principles of the highest ethical and professional standards and expressed expectations that the effects of the Chamber’s work will be in the function of improving overall business processes and in the interest, above all, of citizens and the economy, that is, the state of Montenegro.
KPS, in the continuation of the constitutive session, continued with the election session, with the aim of establishing the principle of up-to-date and efficient making of appropriate decisions from the very beginning of the work.
