On behalf of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of Montenegro (KPSCG), the agreements were signed by President Zoran Vikićević, while on behalf of the Croatian Chamber of Tax Advisors (HKPS) and the Association of Tax Advisors of Slovenia (DSZS), the agreements were signed by presidents Ivan Čevizović, Ph.D., and Ivan Simič, M.Sc., which created prerequisites for future intensive cooperation, with the aim of strengthening regional tax policies and exchanging experiences.

The signing of the Agreement took place in Lovran, Croatia, as part of the conference of the Croatian Chamber of Tax Advisors, entitled “Digitalization of taxes and tax advisory”.

In addition to improving international relations and providing an opportunity for the exchange of professional knowledge, this cooperation also represents a significant step forward for Montenegro towards reaching European standards in the field of tax policies, which will further strengthen the country’s position on the way to full membership in the European Union. By implementing the aforementioned standards and harmonizing tax practices valid in the EU, Montenegro proves its readiness to integrate into the European tax system, which is one of the key parts of the negotiation process.

The delegation of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of Montenegro (KPSCG), led by President Vukićević, which also included Vice President Marnela Marković and tax advisor Jelena Baštrica, attended and actively participated in the work of the two-day conference, organized by the Croatian Chamber of Tax Advisors (HKPS), held on 7 and November 8, 2024.

Tax consultant Jelena Baštica took part in the panel on real estate taxes, practice in the world and the Croatian model, in which she presented current solutions from the Law on Real Estate Tax in Montenegro, while the vice-president of the Chamber, Marnela Marković, in addition to participating in the panel about the experiences of the relationship between tax advisors and tax/judicial authorities, she informed those present about the establishment, organization and work of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of Montenegro.

After the signing of the settlement agreement, the president of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of Montenegro, Zoran Vukićević, addressed the audience with a welcome speech.

The members of the delegation expressed their special satisfaction with the exceptional hospitality and warm welcome of the host, representatives of HKPS.
The inspiring environment and discussions on current issues in the field of tax regulations, policy and practice were an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience.
