The vice-president of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of Montenegro (KPSCG), Marnela Marković, represented Montenegro at this year’s conference of CFE Tax Advisors of Europe, which took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, bringing together tax experts from all over Europe. This prestigious manifestation of key players in the field of tax consulting enabled the exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas among members of European tax consulting chambers.
During the conference, Marković made significant contacts with representatives of several European chambers and associations of tax advisors, including the Croatian Chamber of Tax Advisors, the Association of Tax Advisors of Serbia, as well as chambers from Slovenia, Latvia, Slovakia, Italy, etc. These meetings represent an important step towards strengthening the international cooperation and the creation of new opportunities for the development of tax consulting in Montenegro.
“This was an exceptional opportunity to connect with colleagues from the region and Europe, exchange experiences and improve our practice in the field of tax consulting. KPSCG advocates for alignment with the best European practices, and cooperation with these institutions is crucial for our further progress,” said Marković.
Special emphasis during the conference was placed on new tax regulations and challenges that European countries face in the context of the digital economy and international taxation. Marković, as a representative of KPSCG, actively participated in the discussions on harmonization of tax policies and strengthening of cooperation among CFE members.
In addition to formal meetings and panel discussions, the participants had the opportunity to further deepen cooperation through informal meetings and discuss possibilities for joint projects. The established contacts, especially with chambers from the countries of the region, represent a significant potential for future initiatives and the exchange of professional knowledge.
The CFE Conference of Tax Advisors of Europe is held every year, with the aim of improving the cooperation and coordination of tax advisors throughout Europe, and the presence of Montenegro at such an event confirms our country’s commitment to the adoption and implementation of modern European tax standards.
KPSCG has successfully submitted complete documentation for admission to the membership of CFE – Tax advisers of Europe. With this step, we confirm our commitment to the improvement of the tax system and the application of European standards. We expect official admission to membership at the next CFE assembly, which will further strengthen our cooperation with European tax institutions and bring new opportunities for development and reforms in this area.
Marković’s participation in this prestigious event is only one of the steps towards strengthening the international position of the Chamber of Tax Consultants of Montenegro and improving professional development in the field of tax consultancy in the country.
